Warm Up- Day 16

I feel confident about writing my article because the new building is kind of a simple task to write about. I have to interview the principle and a construction worker. I know a lot about the building already. I feel like I'm going to need help when I have to interview someone. I already have all my questions but the actual task of talking to a stranger kind of makes me nervous. Bur I can do it and hopefully my essay will be quite good.

Warm Up

This last week I have learned a lot. When we went to library and Scott told us his six guide lines of interviewing that was a very great lesson. I have to write an article on the new building and I'm going to have to interview people. Without that lesson I would have been clueless on how to interview some one. Now I know what I am writing about and how the whole getting your subject you going to be writing about works, so now I know how this journalism class is going to be.

warm up

My writing process usually starts by getting notes on the topic .It's not a long process and isn't the same every  time.  If its a creative piece of writing I usually just go with what flows of the top of my mind. If not I  write a little summary on the topic. Then I start to plot. I put my own person twist on it. Then I write and it's good to go .

3.  Make what ever you write is on the record and not off it.

4. Use a voice recorder or take notes.

5.Listen to what they say.

6. Always have 5 questions ready to ask.

Warm Up -Articles

What I learned while reading the articles:

1.   When writing a blog you usually get conversations started over comments.
2.   When you don't know something, don't be afraid to admit it.
3.   A media story consist of pictures, videos, and audio.
4.   Story boards are used to help organize and focus on a story.

Warm Up

I beg of you
Feed me

So many people like you and me sit in their cardboard homes and wait for that nice person to hand them a nickle or penny that is stored away to try to pay for their evening meal. So many people starve. We throw away so much food that someone would die to eat. Like that extra hamburger that finds its way to the trash can without even being bitten.  Its so sad that so many people would take that and that people go days without taking a single bite. While we pick and choose and then tend to through away. Why can't we just help them?

Warm up

My second week of school was a lot better then the first. I know where everything is and I'm finally settled in all of my classes, Last week I would just wait for a schedule to be handed to me saying what my new classes were. That happened to me three times last week. Now I'm not afraid of that and I know everybody in my class and I'm  settled in. I'm exited to see how this school year is going to play out for me.

Warm Up

When we write our first issue I'm gonna be most likely looking forward to how the end product is going to look like. So many different kinds of writing on one page. I'm gonna be so exited to read it and write my part for the newspaper. I'm also looking forward to getting a signed an issue that we have to write about. Putting my own personal twist to it is gonna be fun because my creative side is gonna come out. I'm mainly worried that my issue that I write isn't going to be as great as the all the other students.

I'm exited for my year in Journalism.

Warm up

Thought is the sculptor who can create the person you want to be.   Henry David Thoreau

I belelive that the answer to this quote would be that you are the one who can bulid you up and create yourself. You are the one who choses the right or wrong path that you want to take. The thought may be the sculptor but to me I think that the thought is more like a teacher. Your thoughts towards something are either telling you to do something bad which in this case you would learn from it. Your thoughts sculpt your ideas towards things. Your thoughts tell you what it thinks that you should do. Leading you on the right path, sculpting you, and teaching you through your everyday life.
